Email Service & Vault

One of Legal-Island's flagship features is their email news service, depended on by law firms across all of Ireland to keep them up to date with news and important rulings. This project consists to two distinct sections - one for administration and one for visitors.

The first area is for administration. Backed up by a carefully designed database, Legal-Island staff can view, create, modify and delete both subscription categories and subscribers. The subscriber database is also easily searchable to perform tasks such as findings subscribers who's subscription is due to end in the near future. The administration section also allows for the creation of detailed newsletters, which can include details like personalized information, which can then be sent to any number of categories, as well as being stored for future reference both for Legal-Island staff and their subscribers.

The other section of this project is the Email Vault, which allows visitors to view, search and request past newsletters (pictured). Subscribers can log in and perform detailed keyword searches on past emails. As this is a subscription service with varying subscription categories and rates, care was taken to ensure subscribers will not be able to find emails sent to other categories. Subscribers can view past emails in full detail or have any emails be automatically be resent to their email address.

Surveys

This project was to create the skelton of an automated survey and to make two surveys based on this. As well as producing a very easy to use visitor page with a variety of possible question formats, this project includes a comphrensive results page with detailed bar charts produced with standard (X)HTML and CSS (pictured).

Other Projects

Amoung the other project that I've developed for Legal-Island is an extensive, multi-user administration control panel and inter-administrator messaging system, a complex redundancy compensation calculator, online employment listings and many others.
